	<p>
        It was the first trip that me and my friends ever did by ourselves, and it was quite the trip.
        Long days hiking up and down the mountains of the great Adirondaks.

        One of the worst hikes was Mount Marcy, cloud splitter.
        On the way down, the water began rising.
        Deeper and deeper it went, until it the wood beneath our feet simply stopped.
        Harrison made an attempt to ford the river, but it was no use avoiding it, he went chest deep and barely escaped.
        Nolan and I managed somehow to find a way through shallower waters and had come to the final jump.
        Nolan gracefully vaulted over the gap, but to his dismay, I had no such luck.
        The impact of the landing was akin to a high explosive detonation: a mass of dirt and water surrounding the shockwave.
        As the sun was beginning to set, we came across a New York dad and his young son, and warned him of the dangers that lie ahead, but to our chagrin, he refused our warnings.

        Excellent photos of the sunrise, requires the ultimate commitment: one must play Mario Kart and watch Ancient Aliens for hours.
        To that end, we began the rounds at 9PM.
        Brutal competition ensued, with Nolan being the clear frontrunner and I heading up last place by quite the margin.
        The clock began accelerating, it was clear time dilated around us.
        Finally at around 3AM we were exhausted, and the fateful suggestion was made: we should do a sunset hike, it would be perfect timing!
